Great video as always John! Just wanted to let you know my royal flush drought has ended finally!! I hit one at El Cortez on a double double machine haha Went back to my home base at the Cal. Early morning I hit another. First since November and feel like the monkeys off the shoulders.

Also, at 24:46 king queen ten of hearts is the correct play. I really wanted to point this out because ive seen the Ace or Jack or whatever the missing cards may be come in those instances and you’re left pondering did you just give up the royal?!

We need to get together again the next time you’re in town!

Excellent video, John. Well put together, commentaries were very good, it’s part travelogue, gambling lesson and entertainment. You have the makings of a great filmmaker. If there’s an award for the best gambling vlog in You Tube, you’ll get the Oscar. Looking forward to the next episodes of John’s World Challenge! Thanks for the cameo appearance. Say hi to Nimfa!

Greetings from Torrance! What a wonderful time you had! Isn’t it great to get away, see new things and to spend time with friends! Thanks for getting me in touch with Mark and his wife Daijo. I spent 3 hours on Saturday talking with Mark about how even though he is in Chicago and I am in (well, you know where) we share a lot of common things. I joked about how Japanese in socal (for some weird reason) like to grow cucumbers, tomatoes, and eggplants. He laughed because they do the same thing over there! Playing video poker is fun, meeting new friends like you is even better! As always, thank you my friend! Paul

John, thanks for the coverage of Harrah’s Laughlin. It brought back a lot of wonderful memories with my father. Our play was to pound the full pay 50-play machines (they had four in the non-smoking section and four in the smoking section all facing the river). We would run through about $20K coin-in in order to earn “Diamond in day”. Those machines are long gone. After they were downgraded, they offered a few dollar full pay games in a sea of short pay games. The last image of the casino in your vlog had one of those machines. It was an upright in the non-smoking section, located right in the corner, and facing the parking lot/structure. Anyway back in the day it was a video poker paradise with a strong buffet, the Range steakhouse, a large Diamond lounge overlooking the river, and easy comps for a large suite. Man, those were the days!
